When a document names a bill, a person, or an organisation, PolicyMate records a mention along with the exact quote. Mentions let you see where a bill is discussed beyond its own record, and who is talking about it, whether that is a committee agenda, an agency comment letter, or a council resolution.

Retrieving Mentions

Mentions may be retrieved from either side of the relationship: A mention looks like the following:
The subject.type attribute is bill, person, or organisation. The verified attribute is true when PolicyMate has matched the quote word for word against the source text, so you may cite it with confidence.

Similarly, the GET /organisations/{id} endpoint returns a committee, agency, party, or other body.
